Wyatt is 9 months old:)

I know I missed a month however, here are some major things that have happened in the last 2 months.

~ Wyatt is now 15 lbs and 29 inches long.

~ He went on his first camping trip

~ he had his first major fall (out of the car) which resulted in a black eye

~ He loves to walk anywhere he has something to hold onto

~He did take one step on his own once but so far has not repeated the action

~ Still sleeps 12 hours through the night

~ Now stands up in his crib all by himself

~ Will anything he can get his hands on and gets very angry if you eat in front of him and don't share your food.

~ Loves to play with balls and also loves to pull out every toy out of his playpen

~Doesn't have any teeth yet although he does chew on everything he can get in his mouth

~ Has learned to clap his hands and is learning to wave hello

~Went swimming for the first time and loved it

~Loves to give open mouth kisses to mom

Look who is moving around.....

Also on Memorial Day Wyatt decided it was alright to crawl and move around all on his own.....

Memorial Day Hiking

For Memorial Day we decided to take a hike in Ogden on the Beus Canyon Trail. The entire trail is 5.6 miles one way and uphill the whole way. It was a lot tougher than we had originally thought so we only went 1.5 miles in and then turned around. Although we did get to see some gorgeous scenery and Wyatt loved the running water that ran along the trail. Here are some pictures we took:

Wyatt's First Campout

Camping at Topaz Mountain

We were smart folk and decided to go camping the weekend prior to Memorial day weekend to miss the crowds. It worked wonderfully. We all met in Provo and piled into Steven's vehicle that he procured from his parents. All of our stuff fit nice and tight. John and David had to share the last row with some of the food. Wyatt did alright for his first camp out.  He has hardly slept away from home and the new environment was not conducive to him sleeping. Other than that he did alright. Our rock hounding ventures did lead us to find some pretty good size crystals. Whether it is topaz or not I still do not know. Overall we had a good successful camp. Good preparation for the longer camp that is planned for June. Here is hoping that he sleeps a little longer those three nights.

Our campsite. We are the green tent on the right.

Everyone huddled around the campfire.

We are off to go geocaching and rock hounding.
