As stated in the previous post, Liz woke up on January 15th, 2018 at about 7 AM having contractions about 10 minutes apart. They persisted for about 2 hours when she informed Jeff that they were probably having a baby that day. Over the morning, the contractions got to be about 6 minutes apart and then they tapered off to be about 30 minutes apart.
For the rest of the day, Liz had contractions at random times up until 5:17pm. At this point the contractions came back and were exactly 6 minutes apart. At 5:55 pm, Liz and Jeff left for the hospital. They passed 2 car accidents on the supposedly 15 minute drive to the hospital which lengthened their commute. They finally arrived at the hospital around 6:30 pm.
They checked in to the hospital and Liz got changed. They checked her cervix and she was dilated to a 6. Then they had to change rooms and go to an actual delivery room now that they had verified that she was actually in labor. At this point I think it was around 7 pm. The contractions were coming minutes apart now. Liz had to be poked 3 times in order to get an iv in her for the antibiotics and the epidural.
By the time the epidural was in (but not yet actually working), the baby was ready to come out. They waited 5 minutes for the drugs to start kicking in and then the babies heart rate was starting to drop so they said we had to get him out right then.
A couple pushes later and Connor Isaac Scott was born at 8:08 PM. He weighed 7 pounds 2.6 oz and he was 20 inches long.
While in the hospital we had Uncle Ryan and Aunt Emerald visit (sorry I forgot to get a picture of them).
We had to stay in the hospital for a little while longer because they didn't get enough antibiotics through Liz before she delivered but we came home the morning of January 17th.
The boys got to meet Connor for the first time at home because Wyatt was sick the day before so we didn't want him at the hospital. They were really excited to meet the baby.
Spencer even learned a new word. He now says "baby" when referring to Connor.
