This year the Anderson Family Reunion was in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We drove out to Grand Junction the night before everyone else was getting to Colorado and then kept driving the rest of the way the next day.
We stayed in a couple of cabins located in Florissant CO. We got there on Thursday September 3rd. Papu's 55th birthday was on the 2nd so we celebrated with him on the day that we got there.
The next day we split up. Most of the adults went rafting down the Arkansas River in Bueno Vista while the kids and the other adults went to ride a train.
The water was pretty low, as it was the last week of rafting for the season but we still had lots of fun together.
We got to meet cousin August for the first time. He and Evan are 3 weeks apart in age, however August looks way bigger than Evan does.
After rafting, we split up again. This time The girls and Jeff took the kids to a cave place that also had some adventure things to do. We got to do a ropes course with Wyatt and Jared. The other kids had fun playing in the water where you could pan for treasure.
They had a bell at the front by the parking lot that the kids loved to play with. We spent a lot of time standing by the bell.
We also found this bear that the kids had fun taking pictures with.
The next day, we spent the morning playing outside at the cabins.
Next, we went hiking in the Garden of the Gods state park. Everyone had lots of fun climbing all over rocks and being out in nature.
The next day we went hiking at a place called paradise Cove which ended up being a lot busier than expected.
We also had some marble racing at the cabin.
Overall we had a lot of fun and made some great memories.
