Introducing Evan

Well we are now officially a family of 6. Evan Cyrus Scott was born on April 28th at 10:19 pm. He weighed 8 lbs 8 oz and is 21 inches long.

We had been to the hospital twice before that day with having constant contractions but not being far enough along to stay in the hospital but third times the charm and he came. Having now experienced a very slow labor I am definitely a fan of fast labors, just because at least they are over fast. Having constant contractions for days is not fun!

When we finally got to stay in the hospital it went pretty quickly though. I think we got there around 5:30 pm and Evan was born 5 hours later.

We stayed in the hospital until the 30th in order to get Evan's 24 hour tests done. So we came home on Thursday right after lunch. The older boys LOVE the baby! They are always asking to hold him and asking where he is when he is sleeping. Connor is not doing well with not being the baby anymore though. He constantly wants attention and to be picked up.

It was also a new experience with all the restrictions from COVID-19. We couldn't have any visitors in the hospital. I was also tested when I was admitted to the hospital. The test was definitely a new experience. The have to shove an applicator up your nose about 3 or 4 inches. Not a pleasant feeling but hey, the test came back negative so that is something. We also had to wear masks when we went outside our room. I am not a fan of masks but I don't think anyone really is.

Here is my last belly picture:

The first thing everyone who saw him said was "Look at that hair!"  Jeff thinks he came out Corona ready, needing a haircut. It is really long and he has a lot of it.
